Student Admission Verification

CCPDL welcomes students from many faiths and cultural backgrounds who seek the distinctive education that we offer. Students are drawn from a wide variety of countries including those from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe and South America.

Applying for a Visa:

International students who have been offered admission should immediately apply for a visa. The Embassy or High Commission will be able to tell a student the average turnaround time for a visa application. In some countries this can involve up to a three month waiting period.

The Visa Interview*

As part of the application process a student will be required to attend an interview with a visa officer. The documents the student will need to produce at the interview are listed below:

  • A copy of their application form to CCLPD (If a copy was not retained, CCPDL's Admissions Office can fax or mail a duplicate copy).
  • The letter from CCPDL confirming that they have been accepted to study a full-time course.

Valid Passport

All students applying for a visa will be required to have a valid passport before submitting their application.

Additionally, documentary evidence of their ability to cover the costs of their stay (accommodation costs, tuition fees and maintenance including food, clothing and transportation, etc.) will be required during the visa interview.

Other Requirements*

Evidence of a student's intention to return to their home country once they have completed their studies must be readily presented (documentary evidence is preferred).

Students should also be prepared to talk about why they wish to study at CCPDL and why they have chosen their particular course(s). They will need to convince the visa officer that they do not intend to work full-time during their stay in Canada.

*You must satisfy the visa officer on all of the above points
